The uncommon

Colleen and Jake are the kind of people who don't do anything halfway. As someone who works alongside our team at Summer Robbins Flowers, Colleen trusted us with something deeply personal — and in return, we poured everything we had into creating something truly unlike anything we'd done before. Jake makes snowboard films for a living, which tells you everything you need to know about their world — their guest list was full of snowboard royalty and the kind of stylish, creative people who make a gathering feel alive. With rare, unusual blooms sourced directly from Holland and an installation that felt more like a living work of art than a traditional floral design, this Oregon Coast wedding was a celebration of their joint creativity, individuality, and pure, joyful strangeness. This one was for the cool kids.

THE CEREMonY

The ceremony at Camp Clark was nothing short of magical. Set against a misty coastal forest with towering trees and totem poles standing sentinel on either side, the stage was transformed into something that felt less like a wedding altar and more like a living, breathing work of art. An asymmetrical floral backdrop hugged the couple from the front of the stage, bursting with frizzle gerbera daisies, dahlias, amaranthus, protea, celosia, nerine lilies, chocolate cosmos, carnations, stock, and peegee hydrangea — all woven together with seasonal greenery and fern in a way that felt wild and intentional all at once. The aisle was punctuated by florals that appeared to grow naturally up from the earth alongside guests, as if the forest itself had dressed up for the occasion. Every bloom was carefully chosen to feel unexpected, uncommon, and completely, perfectly them.

The PErsonals

Colleen's bouquet was a petite, bouncy, flouncy little dream — a playful handful of frizzle gerbera daisies and chocolate cosmos that felt like the perfect punctuation mark to her custom linen jacquard gown. Sweet, unexpected, and completely her. Jake, ever the tastemaker, wore an Issey Miyake suit and a single celosia boutonniere — an unconventional choice that felt entirely on brand for a couple who never does anything the expected way. Together they were, in a word, impeccable.

The PARTY

For nearly 300 guests, no two tables were alike. Each centerpiece was its own little universe — weird, artful, and gloriously colorful in the best possible way. Floaty chocolate cosmos danced above otherworldly protea and brain-like celosia, punctuated by whimsical frizzle gerbera daisies that seemed to bounce with joy. Every arrangement shared the same wild DNA as the ceremony installation while feeling entirely its own — a cohesive collection of beautiful strangeness that had guests leaning in for a closer look all night long. This was not your grandmother's wedding centerpiece. And that was entirely the point.
