GOLDEN HOUR
Set amidst the picturesque backdrop of early Autumn in Bend and inspired by the radiant golden shades of the changing foliage and this family's deep-rooted connection to craft beer brewing, Cassie & Ed's wedding was a true reflection of the couple's unique bond and the essence of their hometown.
As a floral designer inspired by the beauty and seasonality of nature, I focused on complimenting the rustic charm of Sunriver's Great Hall by adding in the warmth of the season's foliage from the mountains with the last-of-the-season locally-grown hops to pay homage to this family's beer brewing DNA.

THE CEREMonY
At the heart of Cassie and Ed’s ceremony was their abundant floral arbor—an organic installation that captured the golden hour light and set the tone for the day.
The design began with gestural golden fern and maple “growing up” the right side, gradually transitioning into cascading hops vines on the left. Locally grown dahlias and lush, ruffled neutral-toned roses were woven throughout the structure, adding romance, movement, and soft garden texture to this modern, sculptural moment.
The PErsonals
Cassie and Ed’s personal florals were some of my favorites to date—modern, elegant, and full of lush, tonal blooms that perfectly reflected their unique sense of style.
Cassie’s bridal bouquet featured an artful blend of mauve garden roses, butterfly ranunculus, golden hops, buttery yellow maple, and foraged forest fern—creating a romantic and textured look that complemented the golden hour glow.
Ed and his groomsmen wore boutonnieres made with dahlia buds, hops, fern, and decorative grasses—a refined, organic touch that paired beautifully with their sharp tuxedos.
Each personal floral element was finished with a champagne silk ribbon wrap to harmonize with the bridal party's look and the overall floral palette. wearing.
The PARTY
Inspired by the rustic charm of the venue, our vision was to enhance the space with the soft glow of candlelight and romantic, garden-style florals. We sought to merge the outdoors with the indoors—bringing in sweeping natural elements while maintaining thoughtful restraint.
To create moments of visual focus and flow, we kept floral arrangements primarily to the tabletops and used grand gestures of maple branches, hops vines, and forest fern to adorn key architectural features like the stage, stairways, and majestic fireplace. These expressive, textural installations elevated the venue’s rustic ambiance and invited guests to fully immerse themselves in the enchanting atmosphere of the celebration.
