Natalie & Jon's Sunset Wedding | Tetherow, Bend,

CHASING SUNSETS

Natalie came to us with one clear direction: a sunset. For her late-September wedding at Tetherow, we translated that into flowers, moving from hot pink and magenta through coral, peach, and warm toffee. These are the colors of the Central Oregon sky just as the sun dips behind the Cascades. Vivid bougainvillea, dinner-plate dahlias, garden roses, and orchids carried the palette from the ceremony lawn to the last dance, so the whole day felt like that golden moment when the sky catches fire.

THE CEREMonY

On Tetherow’s lawn, with the Cascades on the horizon, we built two towering, asymmetrical floral installations that framed the couple like an open archway. Magenta bougainvillea and coral dahlias climbed toward the sky, woven with toffee roses, blush dahlias, stock, and hydrangea. Branches of autumn-turned foliage reached up and out, giving each piece movement and a wild, just-grown look. White cane-back chairs tied with hot-pink ribbon lined the aisle, and lush ground arrangements spilled onto the grass at the end of each row.

The PErsonals

Natalie’s bouquet was a full sunset in her hands: caramel toffee roses, coral dahlias, hot-pink ranunculus, and pink and red orchids, finished with golden fern. Instead of matching mini versions, each bridesmaid carried a single-flower bouquet of coral dahlias, peach ranunculus, or toffee roses. Together they formed a gradient that echoed their mix of pink and floral dresses. John wore a single coral ranunculus boutonniere with a sprig of bleached fern, crisp against his black tuxedo.

The PARTY

Inside Tetherow’s Event Pavilion, sheer white fabric swooped across the ceiling, and floor-to-ceiling windows filled the room with late-afternoon light. Low centerpieces in vintage gold compotes overflowed with toffee roses, magenta dahlias, peach ranunculus, and golden orchids, surrounded by blush taper candles in tall glass hurricanes. Along the sweeping head tables, we clustered small arrangements of dahlias, stock, ranunculus, and roses among the candlelight. A ground-level installation of bougainvillea and dahlias spilled from the sweetheart table onto the dance floor, and a matching arrangement crowned the bar. Life in Letters’ playful golf-course signage (think “Hole 8” table numbers and a “Let’s Par-tee” bar menu) gave the room a wink of Tetherow fun

“We had a floral arch for the ceremony and it looked like something out of a fairytale — tall, dreamy, full of color and unique blooms, and matched my vision perfectly!” – Natalie
