Fiesta! Fiesta! Fiesta! – A Mexican-Inspired Wedding

There’s a special place in my heart for elopements. I think they are the most intimate of weddings, but then you know, you miss out on all of the fun of a big party with all of your favorite friends, family, and FLOWERS(!) … Unless you have the party after you elope!! And then you get the best of both worlds, just like Lianne & Dane!!!

Lianne & Dane eloped at Acre Baja, which is like, the coolest place to get married down in Mexico, but they didn’t want to miss out on an epic reception. So, they hired us to bring Acre Baja to their family’s estate here in Central Oregon. They invited all of their friends, fed them with tacos, margaritas, and cervezas, and partied down with 2 unbelievable bands.

I couldn’t have had more fun with their inspiration. Not only did I get to use all of the tropicals in all of the bright colors that my little heart desired, but I also chose to bring in succulents and tillandsia which were inspired by all of the cacti and agave at Acre.

Their planner Britt of Britt & Bixby went above and beyond with some of the funnest details I’ve ever seen at a wedding. She commissioned custom pinatas, maracas, and goody bags and I did palm installations around the inside of the tent to give the effect of palm trees for Dane & Li’s guests.
